Aurora reminds us that anything is possible beneath the divine cosmic sun. She is unburdened by the past, carrying only the memories that help build what is new.
This piece is part of The Butterfly Collection, a series of monoprints created by Alexandra Cabri using a traditional hand-operated printing press. Each original was made from a single etched plate—depicting the face and body of the Butterfly Woman—using a technique called multi-drop monoprinting, where layers of ink are applied in successive passes.
While the etched plate remains the same, the treatment of the wings varies with each pull, resulting in a richly expressive, one-of-a-kind composition. Each original carries its own visual story, a singular presence that cannot be replicated.
To make this work more accessible, each monoprint is also available as a limited edition giclée print. Printed on archival fine art paper, the image measures 12.5 x 18.5 inches, with a 1-inch white border for framing.

Paper prints are made on watercolor paper and require framing. Canvas prints can be
ordered as either a loose canvas (to be stretched and framed locally) or as a pre-stretched canvas, which arrives ready to hang—no frame needed.
