Liberation is a movement that brings change.
This painting captures the moment when the tension of excitement gives way to rainbow light, washing in with a calming embrace. The warmth of orange from the solar plexus gives way to the iridescent hues of the heart center ready to emerge.
It reflects a transitionƒ??the heart shifting from passionƒ??s intensity to a quieter, more measured rhythm. It is the breath between waves, the pause between notes, the surrender into stillness.
In this stillness, true liberation reveals itselfƒ??not as something to grasp or pursue, but as the natural state that arises when we stop clinging to the waves and allow ourselves to be carried.
Artist Statment: As I painted Liberation, I could feel a liftingƒ??like an exhale that had been waiting to happen. The warmth of orange moved boldly across the canvas, then began to dissolve, revealing softer layers beneathƒ??veils of blue and green that seemed to carry their own calm.
Thereƒ??s a moment in every wave when it loses its push and starts to pull back into stillness. I wanted to paint that moment. The shift. The surrender. In the lower left, a translucent form began to appearƒ??like a presence emerging without effort. I didnƒ??t plan it; it revealed itself. For me, this painting is about learning to allow. About letting rhythm return.
